Smiths News Community Week is launched!

From Monday 27 June to Friday 1 July the company will be holding a week-long series of events to mark Community Week, a new initiative for Smiths News employees.  We are holding this week in response to employee feedback, requesting better company backing in supporting charitable causes.

Community Week is an opportunity for all employees to get involved with their local communities, whether through fundraising events, volunteering or other activities.  The week has the full support of the Executive Management team and every location is encouraged to take part.

This year the company overall has a fundraising target to reach of £50,000.  All fundraising up to and during Community Week will count towards this target.

Each location has a Community Champion, who will be able to answer any questions you might have.  Click here for a full list of Community Champions.

As part of Community Week we are holding a sponsored Bike Ride from A to B, where a core team of riders will cycle from our depot in Aberystwyth to Bertrams in Norwich.

It’s never too early to start planning what you’re going to do for Community Week, and don’t forget you can begin fundraising earlier.
